ANGLICAN CABLE NETWORK NIGERIA (ACNN): APPOINTMENT OF GENERAL MANAGER

The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) intends to appoint a substantive General Manager for the ACNN. Archbishops/Bishops are most humbly requested to bring this information to their clergy, based on the following requirements:

ROLE
The prospective applicant shall possess the competence to:
i)       Provide excellent day to day direction to the organization.
ii)       Develop and implement strategies for successful operations of the channel.
iii)      Formulate and recommend to the Board, priority issues the channel shall focus on.
iv)     Ensure sustained packaging of programme content capable of attracting wide viewership in addition to generating optimal revenue.
v)    Manage human and material resources in a way that would promote a healthy work environment and availability of operational  facilities.
vi)     Ensure profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS
The prospective applicant shall:
i)       Be a clergyman of not less than 6(six) years post ordination
ii)    Hold a degree in any of the relevant disciplines. Possession of Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is an added   advantage.
iii)  Possess not less than fifteen years post-graduation experience in a recognized broadcasting establishment.
iv)    Possess evidence of strategic planning and implementation skills, managerial competence and disposition to conflict  resolution.
v)   Demonstrate convincing evidence of a clear vision and capability to engage in digital broadcasting.

All applications, accompanied with the recommendation of the applicant’s bishop, shall be addressed to: The General Secretary (Church of Nigeria), Episcopal House, 24 Douala Street, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja; and shall be received not later than 30 November 2015. Applicants considered eligible after the screening of documents shall be invited for interview.
