I believe we are financially viable to have one ,not only that ,we need a revival center where our youth and other members of the communion can come together once in a month for prayers and communion. We should not be left behind,other denominations are doing something very fast.

When you tune to "Christian" stations on air, you will agree with me that there are more tares than wheat there. The gospel is scarce these days. There must be one or two people out there yearning for the true gospel; which the Anglican Church in abundance. For the sake of these hungry souls, it is good we float cable TV station and be committed to its maintainance.

One of the major tools in the hands of the devil is the use of the screen where all sorts of information are passed without censure. The use of cable network is long overdue. We have the undiluted word and the need to hear and know the truth. The big question is can it be sustained spiritually and financially. I pray that God will help our Church fathers to know how to go about it. Howbeit is LONG OVERDUE. Shallom

In as much as I personally welcome this novel idea, I will want us to have a second thinking before we delve into this project. Agreed that this is one major way of evangelism in our generation, let us bear in mind the main reason why we want to set this up: are we setting it up just because others are, or to show the world that we too are wealthy enough to float the bills of satellite broadcast?
I think we can as well channel this funds to support local TV broadcast first, before moving higher to the level of satellite transmission. You will well agree with me that very few number of local Anglican parishes can buoyantly sponsor gospel programmes on our local TV stations, talkless of requesting them to put hands together to float satellite TV broadcast...It is going to be another burden on the majority of the churches.
If this seems as if as I am an antagonist, let's consider the case of our university- the Ajayi Crowther University in Oyo state. I have been to a couple of private universities owned by churches in this country and their outlook and inlook isn't that bad. I felt so bad on the other hand when, I had the opportunity just to pass by the our university, it clearly showed our neglect and gross inability to maintain our utilities. Isn't this TV broadcast project just going to be another wild goose chase?

i don't think setting up of our own sat tv can be a problem and it is sth we suppose to v since considering d timber and caliber in our midst. so i ll task d primate and public relations dpt 2 set in motion of actualizing dis goals so dt we can b identified 2 sth. God bless us all

Yes! In fact we seem lost in the space without satelite tv station. We can not stay behind technology, instead we move with it in order to reach out to the already moving generation. Thanks.

This is marvelous if church of Nigeria can be one of the churches people we be watching on satelite. So that people we know what Anglican is all about.

This is one project I've always wanted the Church Of Nigeria to embark on for spiritual growth and upliftment. As the largest Bible believing church in the world, I think the world needs to know how scripture-based our traditions and doctrines are. May God help us achieve this.
